COVID-19: 35 more deaths, 1,828 cases reported in country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 35 more people died of coronavirus while 1,828 new infections were reported during the last 24 hours.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday, the positive cases rate remained at 3.79 percent.With the new deaths, the overall death toll has reached 22,555.

The total number of cases reported so far has reached 971,304. During the last 24 hours, 48,134 tests were conducted.

On the other hand, cases of India’s ‘extremely dangerous’ delta Covid variant have been surfaced in Pakistan. While declaring India’s delta Covid variant extremely dangerous, NCOC stressed the public that results could be bad if SOPs are not strictly followed. The NCOC also said that vaccinations must be ramped up, and provided July 31 as the deadline for workers to get inoculated.It also stated that the vaccination certificates mandatory for travelling, visiting tourist spots and booking hotels.

According to a statement of NCOC, millions of deaths were caused by the Delta variant of coronavirus in India, adding that the people suffered due to lack of oxygen in Indian hospitals and the NCOC has taken special measures against this.
