COVID-19 claims more 70 deaths during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) claimed more 70 deaths during the past 24 hours, increasing the overall death toll to 24,783 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,239 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in a day and the number of positive cases has surged to 1,116,886.Overall 102,430 patients have recovered in the country positivity rate of infections was recorded at 6.23 percent.

Furthermore, 47,734 active cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, 22,794 in Punjab, 7,247 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5,587 in Islamabad, 614 in Balochistan, 4,805 in Azad Kashmir and 892 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
