COVID-19 claims more 85 deaths during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) claimed more 85 deaths during the past 24 hours, increasing the overall death toll to 25,305 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,553 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in a day and the number of positive cases has surged to 1,140,411.Overall 1,022,847 patients have recovered in the country positivity rate of infections was recorded at 7.4percent.

Till now 49,189 active cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, 24,863 in Punjab, 7,476 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5,957 in Islamabad, 503 in Balochistan, 3,763 in Azad Kashmir and 493 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The province-wise cases are: Sindh (425,570), KPK (158,964), Punjab (385,258), Islamabad (97,542), Balochistan (32,014), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (31,294) and Gilgit Baltistan (9,769).
