COVID-19 claims more 89 deaths during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) claimed more 89 deaths during the past 24 hours, increasing the overall death toll to 25,978 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,103 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in a day and the number of positive cases has surged to 1,167,791. Positivity rate of infections was recorded at 6.65 percent.

Till now 51,077 active cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, 24,311 in Punjab, 7,761 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6,184 in Islamabad, 475 in Balochistan, 2,722 in Azad Kashmir and 377 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The province-wise cases are: Sindh (433,931), KPK (163,010), Punjab (396,326), Islamabad (99,910), Balochistan (32,248), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (32,380) and Gilgit Baltistan (9,952).
