COVID-19 claims two lives, 630 new cases reported during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as two people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 and 630 new cases have been registered during last 24 hours across country.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 44,198 tests were conducted while the positivity ratio remained at 1.42% percent. The situation of 641 patients is critical.

On the other hand, 185 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Punjab during last 24 hours. The total number of patients has reached to 445,731. Till now, 429,528 patients have been recovered after getting treatment from the government hospitals.

Total number of active cases in Punjab is 3,401. As many as one person has lost his life due to COVID-19 in the province during last 24 hours. Till now, 13,072 people have lost their lives in the province due to deadly virus.

Meanwhile, new variant of COVD-19 Omicron has claimed two lives across country. 14 more cases have been reported in Islamabad, increasing the tally to 114. 

Furthermre, in Rawalpindi four new cases of omicron were reported. The paitients were home isolated. Now their condition is satisfactory. The peole who were in contact with patients those 76 people were also tested.

Son of PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also tested positive of omicon.
