COVID-19: PA speaker summons all-parties advisory committee meeting

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has summoned an advisory committee meeting comprising senior members of the major political parties to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The meeting of an advisory committee will be conducted via video-link on April 10 and it will be convened by the speaker himself. The committee will review measures taken by the government to mitigate the effects of the virus. The PML-N, PTI, PPP and the leaders from other major parties will attent the meeting. The 11-member committee will review measures taken by the government to curb the effects of the coronavirus and ways to overcome it. In a statement, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the government should fulfill the economic needs of the people on the priority basis. “All political parties should avoid blame game and slinging mud at each other in this difficult time,” he added.
