COVID-19: Pakistan reports 98 deaths, 5,857 new infections during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 98 deaths and 5,857 new infections were reported during the last 24 hours across the country.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday, the positivity rate of the cases has touched 10.16.

The total deaths jumped to 16,698, while the number of cases have soared to 778,238.

During the last 24 hours, 57,591 tests were conducted and as a result, the number of total tests conducted so far have reached 11,377,423. The condition of 65 patients is stated to be critical.

According to the province-wise statistics, there are 275,081 cases in Sindh, 109,704 in Khyber Pakhtunkkhwa, 279,437 in Punjab, 71,533 in Islamabad, 21,242

in Balochistan, 16,026 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,215 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
