COVID-19 prevalence in country exceeds 4%, 675 more people infected

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The spread of COVID-19 exceeded 4% in the country on Monday, with two more deaths and 675 people contracting the disese during the last 24 hours.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a total of 14,632 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, out of which 675 people were diagnosed with the virus. The condition of 53 people is stated to be critical. The virus positive ratio remained at 4.61%.

The highest number of cases per day in the country was 508 reported in Sindh. The overall rate was 10.53%. As many as 456 cases were reported in Karachi adn the rate was recorded at 20.61%.

The corona positive cases in Peshawar was recorded at 4.51%, in Islamabad 3.48%, in Lahore 3.29%, in Quetta 2.71%, in Mirpur Azad Kashmir 2.44%, in Mardan 2.21%, in Faisalabad 1.52% and in Rawalpindi 0.75%.
