LAHORE (92 News) – 92 News, First HD Channel in Pakistan, has played a key role in collecting donations for coronavirus lockdown victims through live telethon of ‘Prime Minister's COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Fund Raising Transmission’ that continued from 5pm to 7pm on Friday. During the historic live telethon, Pakistanis – both at home and abroad – generously donated funds for needy and deserved families. More than Rs 200 million as a record money has been collected in two-and-a-half hours of 92 News live transmission. Prime Minister Imran Khan participated in the live telethon and thanked 92 News and the donors for generously donating to help coronavirus epidemic victims. Madina Group donates Rs2.5 million for funds

PM Imran Khan hints at corona cases will increase
Prime Minister Imran Khan also participated in 92 News live telethon and praised the praised sincere efforts of 92 News. Talking during the conversation, the prime minister said that corona cases will increase in coming days. “If the cases soared then we have not so much ventilators to treat the patients. 'Whosoever is Limited, is Safe',” he added. “My experience is the most important of raising money. Corona’s lockdown has devastated the world economy. People do not know how much harm the lockdown can do to society. The impact of closing factories and shops in lockdown has far reaching implications,” the prime minister maintained. Imran Khan said that the US gave its people a relief package of $2200 billion, Japan gave a package of one thousand billion dollars, Germany gave a thousand euro package and Pakistan gave its best a full package of $8 billion. The premier mentioned that while trying to provide relief to the people while staying resourceful, Pakistanis are the most charitable people in the world. “We are the fortunate people who give the most charity in the world,” he added. Imran Khan also said that 144 billion rupees were distributed around the people within two weeks. “We are using limited resources, Corona cases will increase incoming days. There is a risk of developing coronavirus cases, which is limited, so safe. There are high risks of crona within larger groups,” he elaborated. He said that for the first time in Pakistan people are being assisted at this level, doctors will get protective kits in 3 to 4 days. “The whole nation is with the health workers facing corona, doctors who fight on the frontline. As the whole nation stands, the safety kits for doctors and staff will arrive in three to four days,” he explained. “We have developed a habit for importing everything from abroad, unfortunately the health sector has never been paid attention. The doctors will soon provide full protective kit. We can formulate atom bomb but so difficult to prepare the protective kits,” PM Khan said.
