CPEC will change the fate of the entire region: PM

DAVOS (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Thursday that Pakistan has carried out most successful operation against terrorists. Addressing the dinner ceremony presented by Abraaj group in Davos, he said that thousands of civilians and armed forces personnel have rendered sacrifices in war against terror, adding that Pakistan has become a safe country. The prime minister said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will change the fate of the entire region. Nawaz Sharif said that the government had devised a comprehensive plan to crate investment friendly environment in the country and added that they had liberalize investment policies to welcome foreign investments. He said that they offered incentives to attract new capital inflows including tax exemption, tariff reductions, infrastructure and investors facilitation services. He went on to say that the government is well aware that investors needed stable market, back by the clear and consistent policies. “We are committed to maintain and enabling policy framework to attract the foreign direct investment,” Nawaz Sharif said. The premier said: “International organizations have recognized Pakistan’s prosperity, adding that Pakistan will become a part of greater economies under vision 2025.”
