BAHAWALPUR (92 News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday arrested at least two hardcore terrorists during an operation in Bahwalpur. According to the reports, the apprehended terrorists include Hikmat Shah and Ahmad Raza belonged to a banned outfit. It was reported that the hardcore terrorists were arrested during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted at Bahwalpur’s Sadar area. Meanwhile, the weapons, explosive material, hand grenades and funds collected for the proscribed organization were recovered from the arrested terrorists. They were shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation. CTD arrests terrorist, his facilitator in DG Khan
Earlier, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday conducted an operation on intelligence report in Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested a terrorist and his facilitator. According to the reports, arrested terrorist was identified as Jamshaid. The CTD personnel also recovered hand grenades, maps and sensitive documents used for terrorism from his possession. It was reported that Jamshid was associated with the banned outfit of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. It also said that two more persons, Farrukh and his father, were arrested on information gathered from Jamshaid. Reportedly, Farrukh and his father were involved in providing funds to banned outfits. It further said that the arrested terrorist was planning to target law enforcement agencies in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Earlier, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police on Monday claimed to have apprehended four target killers in former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) lawmaker Syed Ali Raza Abidi’s murder case. Updating about the major development in Ali Raza Abidi’s murder case, CTD’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaj informed that they had arrested at least four suspects, who were involved in the target killing, from different areas of Karachi.
