CTD arrests banned LeJ's terrorist Ubaidur Rehman from Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - While conducting a raid in Karachi's Lyari area, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested an operative terrorist of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) Ubaidur Rehman.

According to the details garnered, CTD team arrested accused Ubaidur "Rehman alias Capri with a hand grenade. The accused Ubaid has been involved in six incidents of sectarian killings, according to CTD officials.

According to the CTD spokesperson, the accused confessed murder of six persons including former MQM MPA Sajid Qureshi.

He has been a brother of Asim Capri, who was a member of an outlawed group, and handed death sentence by an anti-terrorism court in high profile murder of Qawali maestro Amjad Sabri and other killings. Ubaid Capri was earlier jailed in another offence. He was planning target killing of a key politician,” officials claimed.
