I do not tell a lie for politics, we are bringing a dream of people's prosperity: Nawaz Sharif

MURREE (92 News) - Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the country's culture was destroyed and developing economy was ruined during the previous regime.

Addressing the party workers on Thursday, he said that a thriving country was ruined. "May Allah Almighty give us power to rectify the future after learning from our mistakes," he added.

The PML-n Quaid said that rights of Allah can be pardoned, but not the rights of the people. "We believe in practical steps instead of making false promises with the people. I never told a lie for politics. I was ousted in 1993, 1999 and 2013. How will a country work as a house cannot be run this way?" he maintained.

Nawaz Sharif said that the people are now hearing the stories of those who ousted and exiled him. "We are coming with a dream of the prosperity of the people. I was disqualified for not taking the salary from my son when nothing was found against me," he maintained.

He said that he had saved the country from default when he was made the prime minister. "We brought Pakistan from grey list to the white list," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz said that Nawaz Sharif is the son of the soil. "Nawaz Sharif strengthened the defence by making the country an atomic power. He had to live away from Pakistan for four years. A saw a craving for the country in my father when he was abroad. We will change the destiny of Murree if Allah Almighty gave an opportunity. All facilities of a big city will be provided in Murree," she added.
