NAROWAL (92 News) – PML-N senior vice-president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Imran Khan should hold them accountable and they will hold him accountable. Talking to the media after attending Paigham-e-Pakistan Conference for Peace and National Unity on Saturday, he said that Imran Khan should now be careful as Pakistan will be run as per constitution and law. He said that Shehbaz Sharif had himself opted to give the PAC chairmanship to another person. “There is neither grouping in the PML-N nor can happen in future,” he claimed. The PML-N leader asked the workers not to pay heed to rumours. “All departments are on the same page in the war against terrorism,” he added. He said that the Pak Army had rendered big sacrifices for the elimination of terrorism. “The elimination of terrorism not responsibility of a few people, but we all are responsible for it,” he said. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that there is no place for terrorism in Islam. “Politicians and people also oppose terrorism through the vote. Politicians are an asset of the country,” he said. Ahsan Iqbal said that terrorism is a common issue. “We have jointly offered sacrifices to eliminate terrorism and extremism which have destroyed the economy,” he said.

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has questioned that who has demanded the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) and whether he (PM) has power to give the NRO. In 92 News Programme ‘Ho Kaya Raha Hay’, he said that the selected prime minister had failed in running the government. “Nawaz Sharif has not expressed the wish to go abroad. However, doctors have proposed his treatment abroad,” he said. Shahid Khaqan Abbassi said that Asad Umar had fulfilled the condition of the IMF before receiving the loan. “This situation has emerged due to contradiction among the statements of the ministers. The government has lost the confidence of the people and investors. The IMF agents are present in the government in the shape of Asad Umar,” he alleged. The former premier said that people talk against Ishaq Dar, but no one could prove the allegations against him. “The former government is accused of the poor economic situation, but I am ready to give the reply in the assembly,” he added. He claimed that there is a historic shortfall in the revenue of the FBR. “The government has been changing the figures since assuming the office,” he said. He said that the opposition has positive attitude and wants the resolution of the problems. “It is task of the government to run the parliament,” he said. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi threatened to launch a movement if situation did not improve. Reacting to the statement of PM Imran Khan, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the national interests face the biggest threat from Imran Khan. “Imran Khan should apologize to the nation over his incompetence and telling lies,” he said. She said that Imran Khan had snatched bread and jobs of the people by stating ‘NRO’. “Nawaz Sharif left the power in 2018 when the country was making progress at 5.8% and the people were prosperous,” he said.
