Czech Republic Chief of General Staff General Josef Becvar calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of General Staff Czech Republic Armed Forces General Josef Becvar called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters on Tuesday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including regional security situation and measures to enhance defence cooperation between both the countries were discussed. The Czech Chief of General Staff appreciated achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s sacrifices in bringing peace and stability in the region. Earlier on his arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan army presented Guard of Honor to the visiting dignitary who laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.   Meanwhile, Maldives Defence Minister Adam Shareef Umar called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at GHQ. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, including regional security and defence cooperation, were discussed. The Maldives defence minister appreciated the successes of Operation ZeA and paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Pakistani security forces. Earlier on arrival at GHQ, Defence Minister Adam Shareef Umar laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
