Dacoit killed, cop injured in Faisalabad encounter

FAISALABAD (92 News) – A dacoit was killed and a policeman was injured in an encounter on Mailad Road on Tuesday. The injured cop has been shifted to Allied Hospital. However, a dacoit managed to escape. The policemen stopped bikers on suspicion, but they opened fire on them and fled. A heavy contingent of police also reached the spot, chased the fleeing dacoit and opened fire in retaliation. A dacoit was injured and fell from the bike. The injured dacoit again held the weapon when the policemen tried to arrest him. The police shot him dead. All roads have been blocked to arrest the fleeing dacoits.
