Dacoit killed, several arrested in different operations in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A dacoit was killed and several others including workers of a banned outfit were arrested during operations conducted by the police and Rangers in different areas of the provincial capital. A dacoit was killed in a police shootout in Sher Shah while three others managed to escape. Police said that the accused were looting a shopkeeper. Meanwhile, Police arrested an injured suspect namely Aleem after a shootout in Pakistan Bazar in Aurangi area. Police recovered hand grenade and weapons from the possession. The suspect said to have links with a banned organization. In another incident, Rangers conducted a raid in Malir Jinnah and arrested four suspects. Police conducted a search operation in Garden Shoe Market on a tip of arrested suspect namely Arshad Qureshi and recovered weapons from a shop. In another search operation in Sohrab Goth, police arrested 45 people and recovered illegal weapons and drugs. Later, 43 people were released after investigation.
