Danish Taimoor responds to backlash over four marriages comment
KARACHI (92 News) Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has addressed the controversy surrounding his recent comment about four marriages on his show Mehfil-e-Ramzan.
While hosting his wife, Ayeza Khan, during a segment, Danish stated, "I am allowed to have four marriages," which sparked significant online backlash. Many social media users labelled his comments as "toxic," especially in the presence of his wife.
In a subsequent episode, Danish clarified his stance, stating that although he has permission under Islamic law to marry up to four times, he has no intention of doing so, as he currently loves his wife.
He added, "Ayeza and I were reading the comments and laughing. For now, I want to spend my life with her."
Danish explained further, defending his use of the word "for now," saying, "Nothing lasts forever. We never know what could happen tomorrow." He also criticised online trolls, emphasising that only Allah knows what’s in a person’s heart.
