Dead body of martyred Pakistani diplomat arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Dead body of martyred Pakistani Consulate official in Jalalabad Nayyar Iqbal Rana arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday. His funeral prayers would be offered at Masjid Hanfia in G-7/2 Sector of the capital at 4.00 pm. Later, he would be laid to rest at capital's graveyard. He was martyred by unknown assailants in Jalalabad on Monday evening. Earlier, Pakistan had strongly denounced the killing of its diplomatic official Nayyar Iqbal Rana serving at the Consulate General of Pakistan at Jalalabad, Afghanistan. Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua summoned the Afghan Charge d’Affaires to the foreign office to lodge a strong protest against this heinous act. She demanded the perpetrators should be apprehended and brought to justice. The foreign secretary stressed foolproof security for Pakistani diplomats and missions in Afghanistan. The diplomatic official was shot by two unknown assailants on a motor bike at a shop near his residence.
