Dealers group who supplied drugs to late Dr Maha arrested

KARACHI (92 News) - A key progress in the Dr Maha suicide case as the dealers group comprising four persons who supplied drugs to the late blogger have been arrested. The Gizri police have arrested four members of a gang that claim to have supplied drugs to a Dr Maha who took her own life on August 18. Investigation SSP Bashir Brohi said that during interrogation, the suspects revealed that they also sold drugs to her. Suspects Saadullah, Muhammad Owais, Jamaat alias Nasir and Muhammad Bilal were arrested and drugs seized from their possession. According to the police, they sold drugs online. They got Rs13,000 to Rs15,000 on a delivery of one gram. Saadullah told the police they also sold drugs to the late doctor-blogger. Earlier on Sep 21, two suspects managed to escape from a Karachi court after their bail was rejected in the suicide case of a Dr Maha suicide case. Junaid and Waqas appeared before court to hear the verdict on their bail petition, which was reserved on Sunday. According to the police, Junaid tried to escape earlier in the day but was caught sitting in a rickshaw outside the city court. An officer then handcuffed him. Junaid had said that he had given Rs100,000 to the investigating officer to allow him to flee. He attempted to escape again along with another suspect and was successful.
