Death toll from Peshawar Police Lines suicide attack rises to 95

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The death toll rose to 95 from the suicide blast in the mosque at Peshawar Police Lines on Tuesday.

As many as 221 people were injured in the blast. Meanwhile, the operation on the mosque premises has been completed. The debris of the roof has been removed. The Pak Army jawans with the help of heavy machinery pulled out five more bodies.

The LRH spokesperson said that 126 injured people have been discharged from hospital. The condition of 15 injured people is serious. "The injured are being treated at orthopedic, burn and ICU wards," he added.

Meanwhile, the Health Department has issued a report on the martyrs and injured.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Moazzam Jah Ansari presided over a meeting regarding the law and order. The police officers briefed the IGP about the Peshawar blast.

Later, he also visited the blast site.

On the other hand, people mourned the tragic attack. The national flag flew at a half mast in mourning.
