Death toll in Karachi heat wave jumps to over 750

KARACHI (92 News) – The death toll due to scorching heat wave during the last four days has risen to over 750. Patients’ relatives have complained about an acute shortage of beds and medicines in hospitals. Patients suffering from dehydration are being treated in the open and verandahs. Meanwhile, the Sindh government has declared emergency in all hospitals of the province, directing the administration to ensure prompt availability of doctors, paramedics and necessary medicines to provide immediate treatment to the patients.
