Defamation suit: Imran Khan given last chance to submit reply until Oct 9

LAHORE (92 News) – A civil court has given Imran Khan the last chance to submit a reply in response to Rs 10b defamation suit filed by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif until October 9. Babar Awan, counsel for Imran Khan, contended that the case against Imran Khan should also be heard like other cases. Shahbaz Sharif’s counsel said that Imran Khan had leveled a baseless allegation of Rs 10 billion offer by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during the Panama Leaks case. The case was filed in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Azfar Sultan under section 4 (defamation actionable) and 9 (remedies) of Defamation Ordinance, 2002.
