Delay in completion of Mayo Hospital Surgical Tower reflects government’s apathy
May 2, 2015
LAHORE (92 News) – Mayo Hospital’s Surgical Tower could not be completed even after nine years, reflecting negligence of the rulers. Citizens told 92 News that the PML-N government is only focussing on construction of roads, while there was no one to pay heed to the plight of patients. They said that patients had to wait for months for their operations due to shortage of doctors and lack of facilities in the hospital. They appealed to the Punjab government to complete Surgical Tower at the earliest so that they could get treatment without any delay. When contacted, Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the project would be completed soon.
