Delay in salaries: Rawalpindi Metro Bus ticketing staffers stage demonstration, sit-in

Owing to the protest, the bus service remained suspended.

The protesters chanted slogans against the administration. They said that they are not being paid the salaries for three months. "The department is getting compulsory labour," they said.

The protesters demanded that the Punjab government should directly appoint them. "We will be forced to suspend the ticketing service in the second shift," they added.

They demanded that the government should ensure timely payments of salaries. They said that they would continue their sit-in till payment of their pending salaries.
