Democracy is indispensable for national integrity and stability, says Shazia Marri

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson BISP, Shazia Marri has said that democracy is indispensable for national integrity and stability.
Addressing a news conference, along with Special Assistant to the prime minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad, she said that a person contested the election on seven seats because of his incompetencey. This person is not ready to go to the assembly. “Government has distributed sixty-five point seven-nine billion rupees out of seventy billion rupees among two point six million flood-hit families of the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had approved seventy billion rupees for flood-affected people. Rehabilitation and reconstruction work is underway with the support of Word Bank and the United Nations.”
She said that a donors’ conference in France in collaboration with French President and the UN will be held soon to support the flood-hit people in the country. “Federal government will provide full support to farmers of Sindh and Balochistan as seeds will be provided to them.”
