Dengue claims four lives during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as four more people fell prey to dengue during the last 24 hours, increasing the total patients to over 4,242.

According to a report, three people in Punjab and one in KPK lost their lives due to dengue.

Moreover, 371 new cases were reported in Punjab, 266 cases in Lahore which is the highest figure in the country. 139 patients contracted dengue in KPK, while 92 cases were confirmed in Islamabad, 89 in Rawalpindi and 60 patients in Sindh.

According to the Islamabad District Health Officer, 54 cases were reported in urban areas and 38 in rural areas. He said that 56 cases were reported in Holy Family Hospital, 26 in Benazir Hospital and seven in DHQ Hospital.  

Meanwhile, the total number of deaths due to dengue fever has reached 1,813.
