Dengue fever claims 2 more lives in Punjab during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as two people lost their lives due to dengue fever in Punjab, while 314 new cases were reported in the province during last 24 hours.

According to Health Department statistics, 150 cases were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 40 in Islamabad. In Lahore, dengue larvae has been detected from 17,445 places in Lahore.

With the death of two more people in Lahore, the death toll has risen to 95 in the city.

Meanwhile, in twin cities 66 new patients of dengue fever were reported during last 24 hours. The total number of affected people have reached at 4,400.

According to Islamabad district health officer, 40 new cases were reported in the city. 18 cases were reported from rural areas and 22 cases were reported from urban areas. The total number of dengue patients from rural areas of the city have reached at 2,505 and the total figure of dengue patients from urban areas reached at 1,899.

On the other hand, 26 new cases were reported in Allied Hospital, 12 in Holy Family Hospital, 8 in Benzair Hospital and 6 in DHQ hospital during last 24 hours.
