Dengue fever claims four more lives in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (92 News) – Four more people have died from dengue fever in Peshawar, pushing the total number of dengue deaths in the city this year to 49 on Sunday. With the latest deaths after the outbreak of dengue virus in the province, death toll from the mosquito-borne disease reached 49. Those who died of dengue virus were identified as Nagina, 27,Jaan Ahmad, 70, Bus Bibi, 60, Altaf Khan, 32, and an employee of the Khyber Teaching Hospital. They were admitted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital with dengue fever. All were brought in critical condition and succumbed to the viral infection. Many people have been screened for the virus and 336 have tested positive so far.
