Dengue fever kills four lives in Punjab during last 24 hours

LAHORE (92 News) – As many as four people have lost their lives due to dengue fever in Punjab during last 24 hours.

The people who died due to dengue fever belonged to Lahore. Till now 127 patients of dengue fever have lost their lives in Lahore.

213 new cases have been reported in all over province during last 24 hours. 147 patients in Lahore, 21 in Rawalpindi, 8 in Gujranwala, 5 in Faisalabad, Kasur and Multan, 4 in Rahimyar Khan, 3 in Toba Tek Singh 2 in Khanewal, Sheikhupura and Sialkot were reported during last 24 hours.

This year 24,146 cases of dengue fever have been reported across Punjab and 17,353 cases have been reported from Lahore.

Other than Lahore 344 patients of dengue fever are admitted in the hospitals across the province.

Dengue patients are under treatment in Punjab hospitals on 1205 beds, specified for dengue patients. Patients are under treatment on 856 beds, specified for dengue in Lahore

Teams of health department checked 346,618 indoor places and 84,436 outdoor places in Punjab during last 24 hours.

Larvae was eliminated from 271 indoor and outdoor places in Punjab during last 24 hours.

Teams of health department checked 26,155 indoor and 5,162 outdoor places in Lahore. Larvae was killed from 231 indoor and outdoor places in Lahore.

Meanwhile in Rawalpindi, 18 people lost their lives due to dengue fever during last 24 hours. This year dengue fever affected 3393 people in the city.
