Dense fog blankets parts of Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Thick fog prevails in most plain areas of Punjab leaving zero visibility on roads.
The traffic system has been disrupted as fog continues to blanket various areas of the province including Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Mian Channu and Bahwalpur on Tuesday.
Various sections of Motorway and National Highway have also been closed due to thick fog.
Commuters have been advised to avoid unnecessary travelling and use fog lights while driving.
Motorway M2 section from Hiran Minar to Lahore is closed due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. However, Motorway police have advised the motorists to use fog lights and avoid unnecessary travel.
Meanwhile according to Meteorological Department, more rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is likely at scattered places of upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, upper FATA, and Kashmir, while at isolated places of Makran division and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.
Cold and dry weather is expected in remaining parts of the country.
