Dense fog engulfs various parts of country

LAHORE (92 News) - The various parts of the country are engulfed with dense fog on Friday.

According to the reports, the Motorway M1 from Peshawar to Mardan was closed due to less visibility. Motorway M3 from Lahore to Darkhana, M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Sham Kot is also closed.

The vehicles are also prohibited on the M5 motorway from Multan to Rohri. Basti Maluk, Bahawalpur, Lodhran and Khairpur also enveloped with intense fog.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed when car collided with a motorcycle due to heavy fog in Khanewal.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Lahore will remain cold and dry. Fog is expected in the morning and evening. The minimum temperature in the city will be 7°C, the maximum will be at 18°C. The wind will blow at a speed of 3 km per hour throughout the day. Humidity is expected to be 81 per cent. Temperatures in the city are expected to drop further this week.
