LAHORE (92 News) – Dense fog blanketed different parts of Punjab including the capital city of province on Thursday. According to the details garnered, the fog disrupted the flow of traffic in Lahore and Mangamandi, Pattoki, Okara, Sahiwal and Renala Khurd. Meanwhile, traffic in Jhang as visibility was down to 30 metres. Different cities of southern and central Punjab are also in the grip of fog. According to the spokesperson of Motorway police, visibility level has dropped significantly due to fog. He said that the visibility is only 150 metres and appealed the drivers to use fog lights and drive at very slow speed. He also directed to drivers for keeping reasonable distance from other vehicles. The spokesperson urged the commuters to refrain from unnecessary travel on the highways and motorways. They have also requested people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling. Drivers have been further advised to contact Motorway police on Helpline 130 for any travel guidance. Punjab engulfed by a thick layer of fog affecting daily life and vehicular traffic in winter. The poor visibility makes travel on motorways dangerous and also affects the air traffic.
