PESHAWAR (92 News) – DG ISPR Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that terrorists came from Afghanistan and the attack was also planned there. Briefing the media about the airbase attack on Friday, he said that 13-14 terrorists entered the camp at 5am while 29 people embraced martyrdom. “22 martyred jawans belong to PAF and three are from Pakistan Army. Some civilians were also killed in the attack.” He ruled out the involvement of the Afghan government. “Terrorists used two gates to enter, but airbase guards fought valiantly,” he said, adding that later the terrorists divided into two groups. The DG ISPR said that terrorists were contained within 50 meters. “One of the groups martyred the people performing ablution. The group was countered in the parking area as well,” he said. He thanked the nation and the media. “There is no doubt that the nation is united. These terrorists are wild and they have been eliminated,” he said. "Terrorists' helpers should listen that we are winning the war. The case will not close till the arrest of the facilitators." DG ISPR Asim Saleem Bajwa said that such attacks occurred during the war. “The attack was immediately responded.” He said that development has been made in the Shuja Khanzada case.
