RAWALPINDI (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar has urged the nation to unite for Safe Pakistan. Briefing the media on Monday, he said that the real border is between the human being and coronavirus and they will have to control it. “The armed forces are aware of their responsibilities. The Pakistan government has called the Pak Army and we will utilize all resources to control the pandemic,” he maintained. The DG ISPR said that March 23 is the day to pay tribute to all dignitaries whose predecessors face a new challenge. “The developed countries are also helpless before coronavirus,” he said. Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that there is a complete ban on the movement. “People should confine themselves and their loved ones to houses. So far screening of over one million passengers could be ensures,” he said. He expressed the resolve that the armed forces would overcome the challenge along with the brave nation. “The COAS has donated his one-month salary to the fund.” The DG ISPR said that the inter-city transport will only run for the provision of food. “The protection against coronavirus is to restrict the movement,” he added. He said that all shopping malls and cinemas would remain closed. “All public transport will remain closed in cities. Petrol pumps and markets would only open on the notification of the governments,” he said.
