DG ISPR terms great nations always remember their martyrs

LAHORE (92 News) – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor termed that great nations always remembered their martyrs. Talking to the private TV channel, the DG ISPR also mentioned that national zeal was must for a country’s defence. He said that not only armed forces but also whole nations including civilians rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terrorism. “I request all Pakistanis reach out to families sacrificed their lives for the motherland,” Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor urged nation. He paid tribute the country’s martyrs and said, “It is not only the army that has sacrificed in the war on terror… more civilians have been killed than army personnel.”
Kashmir issue now become Int’l issue
The DG ISPR termed that Kashmir issue has now become an international issue due to the wrong decision of Modi’s government. “Pakistan Army had been standing with Kashmiris for the last 72 years and would support them till they achieved their right to self-determination,” he maintained. The DG ISPR said the incumbent government is active on diplomatic fronts to beat Indian moves on Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). “Pakistan army has a keen eye on Line of Control (LoC) situation and giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression there. India is targeting civilian along the LoC,” he said. Earlier, addressing a press briefing on latest current situation Kashmir issue after India’s illegal revocation of Article 370, the DG ISPR has vowed to go to the last extent, bullet and breathe over the Kashmir issue. He declared that there would be no deal on the matter. He urged the people to have trust in the leadership. “We love Kashmir more than our life.” Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa did not want extension in the service. “The prime minister has extended the COAS’ tenure keeping in view the situation. We hope that it will yield positive results,” he said. The DG ISPR said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has good relations with heads of different countries. “The nation should unite under the present circumstances. An attempt is being made to create rifts among the people through the fifth generation war,” he maintained. He dispelled the talks about recognizing Israel as propaganda.
