Diphtheria claims 13 more lives in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (92 News) – At least 13 children have died of diphtheria during the last few days in provincial capital due to unavailability of life-saving drug. The diphtheria epidemic is spreading rapidly in South and North Waziristan due to which more than 150 children fell prey to the disease and around 13 children have lost their lives during the last 20 days. The hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing diphtheria related drug shortage.
