ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Asif on Thursday has advised that for sake of God do not play politics of vote over coronavirus (COVID-19). Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly (NA), the PML-N leader asked the government to better focus on saving the lives of people from deadly coronavirus instead of doing politics. “The parliament should decide that what does Prime Minister Imran Khan want?” Khawaja Asif questioned. He added that the prime minister gave different statements regarding the lockdown. "The PML-N wants privatization of the funerals of the private sector." The former foreign minister said that many members from the parliament have been infected with this deadly virus. “You have also started conspiracy against Sindh, he maintained. “Pakistan is among 10 countries with the highest reporting rates and the trajectory is sadly showing that we are going up to number three or four. World Health Organization (WHO) has said that our surveillance is weak, we are not tracking patients correctly — not on an individual or on a government level,” Khawaja Asif further mentioned. Earlier, PML-N leader Khawaja Asif demanded that a parliamentary committee should be formed over the crisis. Ahsan Iqbal accused the ministers of settling the ‘commission’ while sitting in Kohsar Market. However, Minster for Human Rights Shirin Mazari and Murad Saeed rejected the allegations leveled by Ahsan Iqbal. Murad Saeed demanded that Ahsan Iqbal should apologize to the nation for leveling baseless allegations. In response, Fawad Ch and Foreign Minsiter Shah Mahmood said that the report will be made public soon.
