PESHAWAR (92 News) – Doctors continued their strike against torture of their colleague across the province on Thursday. All outpatient departments remained closed due to the strike, causing problems for the patients. Addressing a press conference, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said that doctors in the province were drawing salary more than doctors in any province. “The common man is suffering due to the protest,” he said. “A literate doctor throws an egg on an old man.” He said that either protesters or the minister would go home. “We will introduce reforms at all costs.” The minister said that over 5,000 doctors have been increased in five years. “Doctors’ health professional allowance has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000,” he said.
