Doctors declare Mufti Abdul Qavi medically normal

MULTAN (92 News) – The prominent cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi, who was remanded in police custody by a local court yesterday, was shifted to Multan Cardiology Hospital after he claimed of five heart attacks in just one day. The cleric was shifted to Multan Cardiology Hospital for medical examination. The doctor declared his several examination including CBC, blood test, ECG and RPM as normal after which he would be discharged today. A local court had remanded Mufti Abdul Qavi, accused of the Qandeel Baloch murder case, in the police custody for four days. The prosecution had sought 14-day remand of the accused as they want to scrutinize his bank accounts. On Wednesday, the prominent cleric, who fled from Multan court following a rejection of his bail plea today, was arrested in the murder case of famous social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch. Qandeel, 26, was found strangled to death in her house in Multan’s Karimabad area, some 350-km from Lahore, on July 16, 2016. Her younger brother, Waseem, confessed to police that he had killed Qandeel for disgracing family’s honor. Waseem said he drugged Qandeel before strangling her. Qavi was embroiled in the controversy after Qandeel took selfies with him in a meeting in a hotel and made them viral on social media.
