Emergency supplies of medical equipment being sent to Quetta on COAS orders: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – On the orders of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, emergency supplies of medical equipment, including PPEs, has been dispatched to Quetta to help the medical staff fight Covid-19 effectively in Balochistan. In a tweet on Tuesday, DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar quoted the COAS, as saying: “Doctors and paramedics are the frontline soldiers in this war. “Most advanced nations / govts are finding it extremely difficult to fight this pandemic. The Pakistan government is striving hard to acquire and supply the required resources. In this hour of distress, we must remain patient and steadfast.” https://twitter.com/OfficialDGISPR/status/1247432657027375104?s=20 Earlier giving a media briefing along with Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan on April 3, DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar had said that Pakistan armed forces are utilizing their all resources in the fight against the epidemic. Maj Gen Babar paid tributes to valiant doctors, paramedics, security forces and law enforcing agencies who are confronting this disease at the frontline. “We need media’s complete cooperation and support to win this war against coronavirus,” he added. “I want to thank our doctors, nurses and paramedical staff fighting on the frontline. The nation has to come together to curb the spread of the coronavirus and it has done so since February 26. Pakistan army is present in every nook and corner of this country and facilitating all provincial governments in every aspect,” he said.
