PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Doctors and Paramedics of Peshawar’s teaching hospitals have on Tuesday held protest demonstration after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led KP Government on Monday enforced Essential Services Act 1958 at all the government teaching hospitals across the province.

The provincial health department employees including Doctors and Paramedics staged protest demonstration and rejected the enforcement of Essential Services Act 1958 protesters.

The protesters blocked the road, set ablaze tyres and chanted anti-government slogans.

The doctors only covered emergency, while the OPDs were completely closed.

On the other hand, the families of patients under treatment in Lady Reading Hospital also staged protest demonstration against the doctors and blocked the road by burning tyres.

The agitating protesters demanded the doctors and paramedical staff to end their strike.
