KARACHI (92 News) – Dollar continued to soar as the stocks in Pakistan are taking a hammering once again on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index down more than 900 points. The US dollar reached Rs159 after an Rs1 increase in the interbank after continuous increase on fourth day. On the other hand, stocks endured another round of hammering as rout in global equity and commodity markets pushed the index over 1,000 points in red during intra-day trading. Today's slide comes just days after Monday's bloodbath, when the KSE-100 saw its biggest single-day decline in over a decade. As of 12:04am today, the KSE-100 index was down 3.02 per cent to 36,740.
