Dollar further increases by 52 paisas, reaches at Rs 169.60 in interbank market

KARACHI (92 News) – The dollar price further increased by 52 paisas on Monday, reaching at Rs 169.60 in the interbank market.

In the open market, the dollar rate rose by 60 paisas and reached at Rs 171.60.

On the other hand, the 100-index of Pakistan Stock Market witnessed a decrease of 255 points and closed at 44,817 points.

Following an increase in the dollar rate, a new wave of inflation is expected across the country. The increase will affect petroleum, raw material, machinery and spare parts.

The government is likely to devise a strategy to deal with the dollar challenge before October 1. In August, the inflation ratio had reached at 12.53 percent. Efforts are going on to open all doors for the inflow of dollar in the country.
