Dollar increases by all-time high of Rs24.54 in interbank, reaches at Rs255.43

KARACHI (92 News) - Soon after getting a free hand, the dollar rate increased by all-time high of Rs 24.54 and reached at Rs255.43.

On Wednesday, the dollar was closed at Rs 230.39. In the open market, the dollar price also increased by Rs19 and was sold at Rs262.

The government had removed the cap on the dollar, allowing the market to determine its price.

On the other hand, 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Market witnessed an increase of 1,061 points and it closed at 40,846 points. 

Meanwhile, the gold price also registered an increase of Rs4,900 per tola, reaching at Rs195,500 per tola.
