Dollar loses 16 piasa to rupee in interbank trading
KARACHI (92 News) The US dollar on Thursday lost 16 paisa to the Pakistani rupee to close at Rs277.69 in the interbank trading.
On the other hand, the price of gold increased by another Rs1,500 to Rs276,000 per tola in the local market.
According to the All Pakistan Gem Merchants and Jewellers Association (APGMJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs1,285 to Rs237,482 while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up to Rs217,693.
Similarly, the price of silver surged to Rs3,050 per tola while the price of 10 grams of silver rose to Rs2,614.88.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $12 to $2,665 per ounce.
