Dollar loses 34 paisas against rupee in interbank market, reaches at Rs 170.53
KARACHI (92 News) – The dollar lost 34 paisas against rupee in the interbank market, reaching at Rs 170.53 on Friday.
On Thursday, the dollar was closed at Rs 170.87.
Reuters adds: The dollar, in the international market, traded flat against major currencies ahead of a US non-farm payrolls report expected to provide traders with further clues on the pace of the Federal Reserve’s policy normalisation.
The dollar gained 0.3% to 111.96 yen, and touched 111.975, the highest level this month, helped by higher Treasury yields, with the benchmark 10-year bond hitting 1.6010% for the first time since June 4.
