Dollar gains historic Rs6.79, reaches all-time high of Rs221.99 in interbank bank

KARACHI (92 News) - The dollar rate reached the all-time high of Rs221.99 after gaining historic Rs6.79 against the rupee in the interbank market on Tuesday.

In the open market, dollar closed at Rs224 after an increase of Rs8. The dollar rate has increased by Rs40 since PM Shehbaz Sharif assumed the power. 

The country's debts have increased by billions of rupees due to the increase in the value of the dollar.

On the other hand, 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange reduced by 978 points and was clsoed at 40,389. A decrease of 2.36 percent has been recorded in the market.
