Dollar touches all-time high of Rs 173.50 after gaining Rs1.70 in open market

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The dollar price touched the all-time high of Rs 172.68 after gaining 60 paisas in the interbank market on Monday.

In the open market, the dollar rate increased by Rs 1.70 to all-time high of Rs 173.50. 

Economists have feared more inflation after depreciation of the rupee. They opine that the dollar rate should have been at Rs 155 according to the current economic statistics.

They are of the view that the rupee was being devalued on the conditions of the IMF.

On the other hand, the gold price increased by Rs 1,700 per tola to Rs 119,700 per tola.
