Dozens arrested as police baton-charge and teargas workers in Lahore's different areas

LAHORE (92 News) - The police baton-charged and tear gassed workers of the PTI Long March in different areas of the city.

Workers were baton-charged at Shahdara Morr, Batti Chowk, Azadi Chowk and Awan-e-Adl. The police resorted to teargas when the workers offered resistance and tried to march towards the Ravi Bridge.

During the baton-charge, vehicle of Yasmin Rashid was damaged. The police also arrested PTI leader Zubair Niazi who was later got released by the workers.

The convoy led by Hammad Azhar managed to leave Lahore after removing all barricades. Workers foiled an attempt to arrest Hammad Azhar near Muridke.

Fayyazul Hassan Chohan reached by a motorcycle to lead a rally from an unknown location. The police have arrested dozens of leaders, including Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed and Ijaz Chaudhary.
